This course discusses a study on enhancing pediatric end-of-life care for nurse residents through simulation and storytelling. It highlights that nurses gain confidence in end-of-life care after several years of experience and identifies empathy as a key factor in communication during this sensitive time. The combination of simulation and storytelling fosters compassion and trust, while pre-briefing sessions are essential due to the emotional challenges faced by pediatric oncology nurses. The project faced challenges, including participant hesitancy, and found storytelling beneficial in various educational phases. The study also assessed changes in nurses' knowledge and comfort levels using the FATCOD scale.
