This course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop culturally relevant educational materials for families from outside the US, particularly those caring for children with cancer. Participants will learn how nurses in Peru have successfully created and implemented educational resources tailored to the needs of parents and caregivers. The course will cover topics such as childhood cancer side effects, nutrition, and preferred methods of delivering educational content, including videos. By the end of the course, attendees will be able to recognize the importance of culturally sensitive materials, discuss the development process, and apply these strategies in their practice.
