This course focuses on the concept of nursing presence in pediatric oncology. Participants will explore the characteristics and outcomes of nursing presence, gaining a comprehensive understanding of its significance in the pediatric oncology setting. Through a scoping review, learners will identify therapeutic relationships and effective communication attributes that define nursing presence. The course aims to equip healthcare providers with the knowledge to enhance their practice, emphasizing the importance of seeing patients as unique beings and inviting them into their presence. By the end of the course, participants will be able to describe nursing presence, determine its key characteristics, and understand the outcomes associated with its practice in pediatric oncology.
